Nepal National Day
National Day and Constitution Day of Nepal falls on 19 September every year to mark when the second Constitution Assembly of Nepal unanimously passed the present Constitution of Nepal (2015).
The anniversary of the Constitution on 19 September also this year coincided with the start of the Indra Jatra festivals, which was much better attended and had more public attendance than the events both for and against the Constitution.
The National Day is a designed date on which celebrations mark the nationhood of a nation or non-sovereign country. This nationhood can be symbolized by the date of becoming republic or a significant date for a patron saint or a ruler.
